Nobody realized that I wasn’t here. That’s cool.
Leonard murmured and hummed to the other. He was happy that Amy and Jo got along so well. He kissed her and smiled, picking Joanna up and looking to Amy, trapping her in another kiss. “Joanna will be amazing at anything she does.” He twirled Joanna around, snickering as he set her down. “Just like you, Amelia.” He chuckled and looked back to Joanna.
Joanna looked at her Dad and then to Amy. “I want to be a doctor, just like my Dad.” She chimed.
"And you will be a damn good Doctor, Joanna." She stepped back when he picked up Joanna and swung her around. "I try. I just feel like being a mother is something that I am better at than being a Doctor. I mean, I have been more of a mother than a Doctor the past few years." She took Leonards hand and then looked at Joanna. "You will definitely be a good Doctor, especially if you learn from your father. He is the best Doctor I have seen in action. Ever."
"Sounds good to me" Grabbing a pair of gloves as well as a few anti bacterial wipes Oliver began to wipe the surface down making sure to cover the area twice so that it would be clean. Smiling as he finished the wipes were disposed of as he washed his hands before making his way towards the already running shower "I hope you don’t have the temperature set too high, I’d quite like to feel my nerves by the time we get out"
Amy rolled her eyes at his words. He was so OCD sometimes, but she enjoyed being able to get him out of that zone even if it was just sexual. The water was warm enough for her and not too hot that he would decline stepping into the water. Stepping out from under the water she took his glasses off and carefully reached out to place the glasses on the counter. “I don’t think we need the glasses for the shower, sweetheart.”
"They might as well sleep forever then. Sleepin’ to get away from the nightmares of reality ain’t gonna help ya. It’s just gonna tell ya’ that reality is cruel every time they wake up." He had to deal with that before. Back before he joined starfleet his dreams consisted of still sleeping in that bed with his ex-wife. Of being woken up by Jo early in the morning wanting pancakes. Of reading her to sleep because she had her favorite book pulled out and wanting it read to her. Every morning he woke up hating reality. "I have my own place. Just waitin’ on gettin’ it back. Can’t exactly get a flat back instantly when you’ve been away from it for so long. Landlords aren’t that nice. Nicknames are a thing, sweetheart.”
"But sometimes it is a nice little vacation. I know that I enjoy sleeping when I have a lot going on. If I don’t sleep I have a breakdown." Pressing her lips into a tight lipped smile she looked around herself and just reminisced about her past. "I have slept a lot in the past few years so I understand the need to run away from life and the way that people want to run from the pain and the despair from life. Also, nicknames aren’t a thing. I have a name. I am not sweetheart ot any other pet names."
From outer space, you could probably see the grin on his face. The happy tears that wanted to break way and let Joanna know just how happy he was. He wrapped his arms around his daughter, keeping her there and picking her up as he kissed her on the cheek, turning to see Amelia.
"Oh! Joanna! — This is Amelia." He smiled, holding Joanna close as he grinned from ear to ear. "Doesn’t she look beautiful, Jo?"
Amy could see the smile on his face and it made her heart melt. The way that he had felt about his children was amazing and she knew that he was one of the best fathers out there. “Don’t be silly, Leonard. We know each other already.” Amy moved forward and hugged the girl, holding onto her tightly. “I am happy that you are here, Joanna.” Holding onto her she held her at arms length and smiled at her. “You’re such a beautiful girl, Jo. You are going to be amazing at what you do.”
Leonard ran his fingers through his hair. A gesture which he did really rare. “Yes. You have! And that from the first second we have met eachother, Miss Pond.”, he answered seriously.
"I have had your attention for a very long time, haven’t I?" She smirked before taking a sip of drink and laughing just slightly. "Well why haven’t you tried anything before? I am sure that you wouldn’t have been denied or anything, Doctor."
He blushed at Amy and nodded. So.. she was here. Leonard looked at Amy and gave her a kiss before waddling over to Joanna, scared. He was nervous to see Joanna. It had been so long!
Slowly, he walked over to her, smiling as he made eye contact. He opened his arms slightly. “Joanna…”
Amy watched as he walked over to her and she kept her eyes on them as people asked her questions. She could see the smaller girl giving her father a hug, and could see her lips move saying something of the sort ‘I love you, and I am so happy for you.’ Amy walked over to him, standing near him, not wanting to interrupt them.
